Lovable Pro starts at $25/mo for 100 monthly credits, and Business starts at $50/mo for the same 100, verified on Lovable's pricing page in October 2026. Yearly billing shows those entry cards at $21/mo and $42/mo, and the plan price is a floor because building, chat, hosting, and in-app AI share one balance.
Lovable is an AI app builder: you describe a web app, it writes the interface, the backend, the database, and login, then hosts the result. Toolradar data: the AI app builders guide lists 154 tools in that category, as displayed on the guide in October 2026. The directory record is Lovable on Toolradar. What the product is good at lives in our Lovable review. This page stays on the invoice.
| Plan | Price | Best for | What changes the bill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | A short prototype | 5 build credits a day, hard cap of 30 a month |
| Pro | $25/mo | A real app, a custom domain, the code editor | Credit tiers from 100 to 10,000, top-ups, yearly billing |
| Business | $50/mo | SSO, roles, and training off by default | Same credit ladder, twice the price per credit at the entry tier |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | SCIM, audit logs, a contract | No public list price, and no free monthly grants |
How much does each Lovable plan cost?
Pro and Business are ladders, not single stickers. Each runs from 100 to 10,000 monthly credits, picked in the menu on the plan card. Annual billing is two months free against paying month to month, shown as a lower per-month figure. The 100-credit Pro year is $250 up front. The 100-credit Business year is $500 up front.
On Pro the price per credit stays at $0.25 from 100 credits through 800. The menu marks a saving from 1,200 credits: 2% there, and 10% at 10,000, both against that rate. Business holds $0.50 a credit through 800, then discounts the same way, and the 10,000-credit row is marked 14% off. A bigger tier is how you pay less per credit. The first four rows do not do it.
| Monthly credits | Monthly | Annual, per month |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $25/mo | $21/mo |
| 200 | $50/mo | $42/mo |
| 400 | $100/mo | $84/mo |
| 800 | $200/mo | $167/mo |
| 1,200 | $294/mo | $245/mo |
| 2,000 | $480/mo | $400/mo |
| 3,000 | $705/mo | $588/mo |
| 4,000 | $920/mo | $767/mo |
| 5,000 | $1,125/mo | $938/mo |
| 7,500 | $1,688/mo | $1,407/mo |
| 10,000 | $2,250/mo | $1,875/mo |
Business costs more at every matching tier because it adds controls, not credits, at the bottom rung. Want a larger allowance and nothing else? Climb Pro. Want single sign-on, a security center, or workspace data kept out of model training by default? That is the Business buyer.
| Monthly credits | Monthly | Annual, per month |

| 800 | $400/mo | $334/mo |

| 2,000 | $960/mo | $800/mo |
| 3,000 | $1,410/mo | $1,175/mo |
| 4,000 | $1,840/mo | $1,534/mo |
| 5,000 | $2,250/mo | $1,875/mo |

Enterprise publishes no list price. The card says platform fee and volume-based pricing, and you book a demo. A contract can add SCIM, audit logs, and EU inference. It does not include the daily build credits or the monthly Cloud and AI grants that the self-serve plans get. Plans bought in the iOS app are separate: each purchase covers one month, does not renew, and the card says the App Store manages it.
Is Lovable free?
Yes. Free costs nothing and does not ask for a card. You get private projects, unlimited collaborators, five lovable.app domains, community support, and Cloud. Publishing to a lovable.app address is free on every plan.
The build cap is the real limit. Free grants 5 build credits a day and stops at 30 in a calendar month. Lovable's own example is the first 6 days, because 6 times 5 is 30, and then the daily grant pauses until the 1st at 00:00 UTC. A weekend prototype fits. A second week of building in the same month does not, unless you upgrade.
Free also withholds the in-product code editor and the zip download. Git sync to GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket works on every plan, including this one, but Lovable creates a new repository. You cannot attach one you already have. The "Edit with Lovable" badge stays until a paid plan removes it.
How do credits work, and what does one credit cost?
One workspace balance pays for building, chat, Cloud hosting and the built-in backend, AI calls the published app makes, and connectors billed through Lovable, such as Perplexity, Firecrawl, and Parallel. The usage screen groups build and chat as Build credits, and Cloud, the AI gateway, and connectors as Run credits. Those are labels, not separate wallets.
Narrow grants spend first. Free, Pro, and Business each get 5 daily build credits, a daily chat allowance, 20 Cloud credits a month, 4 AI credits a month, and 1 connector credit a month. Pro and Business have no monthly cap on the daily build grant. Free does. None of those grants roll forward. After a grant is gone, that usage draws on monthly credits, rollover, and top-ups, soonest expiry first.
Build mode is priced on the work, not the length of the prompt. Lovable's examples, which it says will vary, are 0.50 credits to make a button gray, 0.90 to remove a footer, 1.20 to add authentication, and 2.00 for a landing page with images. A Plan mode message is 1 credit plus any subagent research, and Plan mode does not edit code. The reply menu shows Credits used. A run you stop before any change is free. A long message checks in at 20 credits by default and can run for up to 10 hours.
Chat uses a temporary meter through October 31, 2026. A message is typically a fraction of a credit. The daily allowance covers it first, then daily build credits, then the general balance. Pro and Business get a larger allowance than Free, and Lovable does not publish how many messages that is. Build mode, Plan mode, images, and Cloud sit outside the offer.
Top-ups exist only on Pro and Business. A Pro pack is $15 for 50 credits, which is $0.30 each. A Business pack is $30 for 50 credits, which is $0.60 each. Both sit above the entry-tier rate inside the plan, so a habit belongs on the next tier and a spike belongs in a pack. Packs last 12 months and are not refunded if you turn auto top-up off. Upgrading from Pro to Business pauses auto top-up, because the pack price changes. The default adds 100 credits when the balance falls below 25, capped at 400 credits a month, and you can change all three.
A Business credit stands for more dollars than a Pro credit, which is why the same Cloud usage deducts fewer of them. The dollar cost of that usage is not lower. You pay the higher subscription for governance, then you pay more again if you top up.
How is Pro different from Business?
At 100 credits the allowances match. Pro is the shipping plan: custom domains, design systems, roles, per-member credit limits, email support, badge removal, and the code editor. Business adds the department layer: a team workspace, role-based access, internal publish, personal projects, SSO, a security center, design templates, priority support, and the Lovable API.
The privacy split is the quiet line on the pricing page. From the privacy terms Lovable describes as of September 9, 2026, Free and Pro content may train models unless you opt out in account settings. Business and Enterprise data is excluded by default. If that exclusion is the requirement, no Pro tier meets it.
Per-member limits are on Pro, and they only cover Build credits. Cloud, the AI gateway, and connectors ignore the cap. A limit can stop one person prompting all night. It cannot stop a busy app spending the shared Run balance. Limits reset on the 1st at 00:00 UTC, not on your billing date.
Business is also the wrong place to store regulated data. The terms disallow protected health information, card numbers, and government IDs, and Lovable does not sign a HIPAA business associate agreement. Take payments through Lovable's payment flow or your own Stripe account.
How much does Lovable Cloud cost?
Lovable publishes no per-unit list price for database hours, storage, bandwidth, or compute. Cloud usage is credits. A grant of 20 spends first, then the general balance. The instance dialog inside a project estimates a larger database, and that estimate is not a public rate card. Free stays on the default size.
The grant is temporary and can change. It refreshes on the 1st for Free and on the billing cycle for paid plans, and it does not roll over. The 4-credit AI grant and the 1-credit connector grant follow the same clock. Run usage can take 24 hours to show in the chart.
A zero balance is an outage, not a warning. Building stops. In-app AI stops. If the app uses the built-in backend, database, storage, and auth pause, while the published pages keep serving. Data stays, and you cannot export it until services wake. Adding credits does not always restart them: the control is Wake up under Cloud. The pause happens only when the workspace has nothing left.
Cloud sits on Supabase's open-source foundation, and you can still attach your own Supabase project. There is no one-click move off Cloud onto that project. Price the exit on Supabase pricing before a pause locks the export. The region is fixed once Cloud is on. Business and Enterprise admins can force a region for new projects.
Do Lovable credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits do. On a monthly subscription they expire 2 months after issue, so one quiet month survives the next cycle and then vanishes. On an annual subscription the grants still arrive every month, and they expire 1 month after the annual period ends. A credit from month one can sit most of the year. A credit from the last month cannot.
Daily build credits and the chat allowance die at the end of the UTC day. Cloud, AI, and connector grants die at month end on Free and at cycle end on paid plans. Top-ups last 12 months. Referral credits do too: a signup through your link gets 10 bonus credits, and you get 100 if they later pay for a first Pro or Business plan. A signup alone pays you nothing.
Fees and credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. Canceling stops the next charge and does not return the current period. Drop to Free and unused monthly credits plus rollover freeze until you resubscribe, if they have not expired. Top-ups and bonus credits keep working on Free until their own date.
What does a real month cost?
These rows use the prices and grant rules above. Daily credits count only when the row says you spend them the same day. A heavy prompt can still beat the examples.
| Scenario | Assumption | Monthly bill |
|---|---|---|
| Weekend prototype | Free, and you stop when 30 build credits are gone | $0 |
| Solo month, entry plan | Pro at 100 credits, daily grants spent that day | The entry Pro price |
| 200 credits every month | The 200-credit Pro tier, not packs | Under the $55 pack route |
| One 50-credit spike | A single Pro pack, valid 12 months | $15 |
| Three people, no SSO | One Pro workspace, one shared balance | One plan price, not a seat fee |
| Three people who need SSO | Business at 100 credits | The Business entry price |
| Three seats on Bolt or v0 | Per-person billing on either tool | $90 |
Computed figure: two Pro packs added to the entry plan total $55, and the 200-credit Pro tier costs less than that total. The tier's extra credits expire two months after issue. The pack lasts 12 months. Take the tier for a habit and the pack for a spike. Spending all 5 daily build credits across a 30-day month is 150 credits on top of the monthly grant, and only if each day's 5 is used before midnight UTC.
Three people do not triple a Lovable bill. They share one balance, and a per-member cap can fence build usage. The same three cost $90 on Bolt Teams or on v0 Plus, because both charge per person. A small team looks cheap here until Cloud or a long build spends the pool.
When a credit rule or a plan card moves, that is the note the Devshot brief sends.
Is there a student discount?
Verified students and teachers can pay $12.50 a month, half the 100-credit Pro plan, for up to 12 months. Verify at lovable.dev/students with a school email while the workspace is on Free. Each person gets it once. The subscription docs exclude higher tiers, annual billing, and other plans, and top-ups stay at the normal pack price. Teachers use the same offer.
The students page FAQ disagrees. It also describes a $12.50 a month discount on every other plan. The subscription docs and the main FAQ keep the discount on the 100-credit monthly Pro plan only. Read the checkout total before you budget anything else. Gmail cannot be verified. If the school domain fails, request a review on that page. When the school address is about to die, move the project to another workspace you belong to. The login email on the discounted account cannot be swapped in place.
How does the price compare with Bolt and v0?
Compare the first paid plan, then the bill for three people. Prices below were read on each product's pricing page in October 2026. Replit's plan math is on our Replit pricing page and in the Replit review.
| Tool | Free tier | First paid plan | What three people pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lovable | 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month | Pro, $25/mo, one shared balance | The same plan price, seats are free |
| Bolt | 300K tokens a day and 1M a month | Pro, even with Lovable's entry plan, from 10M tokens | Teams is $30 per member, and tokens are not shared |
| v0 | $5 of one-time credits, 7 messages a day | Plus, $30 per user a month | Plus or Business, both per user |
Bolt Pro drops the daily token cap, starts at 10M tokens, rolls unused paid tokens one month, and adds custom domains. Teams bills each member, with no shared token pool, and Enterprise is a quote.
The Plus card shows a struck-through price beside the live seat price. That seat includes a monthly credit allowance equal to the seat price, plus $2 of credits when the user logs in. Extra credits bought past the allowance are shared. Business is $100 per user a month and still lists a $30 monthly credit allowance, plus the same daily login credit. Training opt-out by default is on Business. SSO is on Enterprise. The page says prices exclude tax. Hosting is Vercel, priced on our Vercel pricing page.
Lovable wins the shared workspace and loses the forecast. Bolt and v0 are clearer per person and jump as soon as a third seat appears. None of the three is flat once generation starts. If the job is an editor on a repo you already have, use Cursor pricing and Claude Code pricing. The wider lists are vibe coding tools and AI app development platforms. Bolt and v0 have directory pages beside Lovable.
Is Lovable worth paying for?
Pay for Pro when the app must outlive a six-day free burst, when the badge has to go, or when you need the editor and a custom domain. Climb the ladder when you can name the month the entry allowance died. Buy a pack when you cannot name a second month. Pay for Business when SSO or a default training opt-out is the requirement. More credits, by themselves, are cheaper on Pro.
Skip paid plans when a number you can budget before the month starts matters more than one shared balance. Lovable will not price a feature message in advance beyond those examples, and Cloud has no public unit rate. A founder who can live with that gets a team bill no seat tool here will match. A team that needs the invoice before the work starts will fight the meter.
The product call, including where the generated stack helps, stays in the Lovable review.
How we checked these prices
Louis Corneloup founded Dupple and Toolradar and wrote this page. Lovable figures were read in October 2026 on its pricing page, including both credit menus, the subscription plans doc, credits and usage, the Cloud doc, the FAQ, and the students page.
Bolt figures come from Bolt's pricing page. v0 figures come from v0's pricing page. The 154 count is the tools-tracked figure on Toolradar's AI app builders guide. Scenario totals are arithmetic on those published prices, not an invoice from Lovable. How Devshot publishes is on the about page.
FAQ
How much does Lovable cost in 2026?
Pro starts at $25/mo for 100 monthly credits, or $21/mo billed yearly. Business starts at $50/mo for the same 100 credits, or $42/mo yearly. Both ladders run to 10,000 credits a month. Enterprise has no public price. The plan is a floor, because builds, chat, Cloud, and in-app AI share one balance. Figures were verified on Lovable's pricing page in October 2026.
Is Lovable free?
Yes. Free costs nothing, needs no card, and includes 5 build credits a day up to 30 a month, plus 20 Cloud credits, 4 AI credits, and 1 connector credit each month. The code editor, zip download, custom domains, and badge removal start on a paid plan. Git sync is available before you pay.
What does one Lovable credit cost?
At the entry tiers, a Pro credit works out to $0.25 and a Business credit to $0.50, matching Lovable's plan credit rate. A top-up is dearer: $0.30 on Pro and $0.60 on Business, sold as $15 or $30 for 50 credits. Lovable's examples put a small edit at 0.50 credits and a landing page with images at 2.00. The reply menu shows the real charge, which varies by project.
Do Lovable credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits last 2 months from issue on a monthly plan, and until 1 month after the annual period ends on a yearly plan. Daily grants and the Cloud, AI, and connector grants do not roll. Top-ups last 12 months. Fees and credits are non-refundable except where the law requires it, and canceling freezes unused monthly credits instead of returning the cash.
How is Lovable Pro different from Business?
Both can start at the same 100-credit allowance, and Business costs more at that rung because it adds SSO, role-based access, internal publish, a security center, and a default exclusion from model training. Pro is where the code editor, custom domains, and cheaper top-ups live. Buy a higher Pro tier for credits. Buy Business for the controls.
Is there a Lovable student discount?
Yes, for students and teachers on a school email and a Free workspace, once per person, for up to 12 months. That offer is $12.50 a month on the 100-credit Pro plan billed monthly. The subscription docs exclude other plans and higher tiers. The students page also mentions a $12.50 monthly discount on other plans, so confirm the number at checkout.
Is Lovable cheaper than Bolt or v0 for a small team?
For three people sharing one balance, yes. Lovable does not charge per seat, so the workspace pays one plan price. Three Bolt Teams seats or three v0 Plus seats come to $90. Bolt's first paid plan matches Lovable's entry price and meters tokens. v0 Plus bills per user. Lovable's month moves with credits. The other two move with seats, then with their own usage.
How much does Lovable Cloud hosting cost?
Lovable publishes no dollar rate for instance hours, storage, or bandwidth. Hosting spends a 20-credit monthly Cloud grant, then the general balance. A zero balance can pause the database, storage, and auth while the published pages stay up. A lovable.app address is free on every plan. A custom domain starts on a paid plan.
